The Kharkov patrol of the OSCE mission was evacuated to the Dnieper (Dnepropetrovsk), after which the team members will leave Ukraine. The staff was also taken out of Donetsk and Luhansk, in Kherson it remains in hiding. During the day on March 1, members of the group recorded explosions and machine-gun attacks in these cities.
“On March 1, monitoring teams were evacuated from patrol centers in Donetsk and Luhansk in non-government-controlled areas, and the Kharkiv monitoring team was transferred to Dnipro, pending the organization of further departure from the country. The SMM monitoring team in Kherson remains in place in hiding. The Head of Mission, together with the top leadership, remain in Ukraine until the evacuation is completed,” reads the daily summary OSCE.
It is noted that the observers themselves today recorded in Donetsk, Kharkov and Kherson “numerous explosions and fire from heavy machine guns.”
Formerly Head of the Representative Office of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime Ruslan Yakubov informedthat the OSCE observers left not only Donetsk, but also Lugansk.
