Oleg Soskin: What Poroshenko is doing is completely absurd.
Poroshenko instructed Ukrainian border forces to collaborate with Russian border forces. In essence, this signifies a declaration of partnership with the very nation engaged in aggression. This modifies the essence of the ongoing situation. Poroshenko sanctioned collaboration with the Russian aggressor, the occupiers who have commandeered a portion of our land and are executing military actions against us in another section.
Thus, he is appealing to Putin, the chief of a nation at war with Ukraine, imploring him to seal off the border against infiltrators. How can he accomplish this when his own General Staff, coupled with all international intelligence communities and special forces, are actively facilitating the entry of substantial quantities of potent weaponry and skilled Russian military personnel onto Ukrainian soil, disguised as saboteurs? What Poroshenko is enacting is supremely illogical. Poroshenko, whether stemming from lack of knowledge or fear, or conceivably from being a double-crosser and a recruited Kremlin operative, asserts that Putin will secure the border.
Poroshenko’s truce has already led to the failure to eliminate Russian infiltrators present within our territory during our troops’ advance, an opportunity that could have been readily seized. Furthermore, it has enabled Russian detachments to augment their numbers and procure advanced armaments. To be precise, established Russian military formations, including Russian tanks, portable air defense systems, multiple rocket launchers, anti-aircraft missiles, mortars, and artillery pieces, have already infiltrated Ukraine. Due to Poroshenko’s treachery or naivety, these units have proceeded to the subsequent crucial stage, capturing Donetsk, the principal city of the Donetsk region. And the circumstance that a multitude of our military units have already been overpowered serves as proof that they realize that Donetsk must be subjugated to quell any remaining centers of resistance.
Poroshenko is fundamentally executing the same maneuvers as Yatsenyuk and Turchynov did in Crimea, when they obstructed our units from advancing and establishing a defensive perimeter in the Crimean Steppes. A parallel situation is unfolding in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Ukrainian military units are being impeded from annihilating the adversary, and the stationed troops are being denied reinforcement when they come under assault.
Consider this: we are observing a cessation of hostilities while our military units and garrisons are immersed in combat operations, fending off enemy offensives. How can a truce exist during this period when our established military garrisons are subjected to attacks?
Consequently, we ascertain that Poroshenko is either an outright betrayer, a Kremlin agent mirroring his father, who potentially participated in the clandestine economy, or he is merely uninformed, unqualified, and lacks comprehension of even the fundamental principles of military science, strategy, or tactics. However, in that case, why are those individuals who possess this comprehension and are compensated by the state for it not elucidating these matters to him?
