Former deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor, ex-prefect of the Central Administrative District Oleg Mitvol was taken to a prison hospital. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a law enforcement source. Mitvol’s wife, Lyudmila, confirmed this information in an interview with the Daily Storm. According to her, the ex-official has been sick for the third week.
“Apparently, quite kirdyk. Now they told me that his temperature was brought down to 37.7, but no one understands what is happening to him. Well, they brought down his temperature, and then what? He needs an examination, he needs a diagnosis. – said the wife of the ex-head of Rosprirodnadzor. – If the temperature is 40 for the third week, then this is something serious, especially since he is on antibiotics. Last year, he was ill with both covid and flu, and had two kidney surgeries. And all these certificates and extracts from the hospital – that’s all there is.
She explained that in the pre-trial detention center, a patient with the flu was placed with her husband. After that, on January 24, Mitvol’s preventive measure was extended until the end of March. Due to complaints, he was transferred the same day to another cell, but with worse conditions.
“He was first placed in a cell of a flu patient. Then Oleg fell ill, his patient was taken to court as a measure of restraint, after he began to resent that patients with the flu were brought to his cell in turn. His preventive measure was extended and he was transferred to a cell without conditions, without a toilet bowl, with cold water, in an ice cell. He still moved from building to building and dragged his things in the cold, ”complained his wife.
After Mitvol’s letter to his wife complaining about his health, the management of the SIZO imposed a ban on correspondence. Lyudmila now does not have access to her husband, so she receives all the information from Mitvol’s lawyer. Shortly before his hospitalization, the woman even turned to Tatyana Moskalkova, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
“Of course we will do something. I have already applied to Moskalkova so that they register my appeal. I visited her on Tuesday. And today he was hospitalized, ”said Lyudmila Mitvol.
The former head of Rosprirodnadzor, Oleg Mitvol, is being held in one of the Krasnoyarsk pre-trial detention centers as part of the case of embezzlement of 950 million rubles allocated for the design of the local metro. On January 24, the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk once again extended Mitvol’s detention for two months, until March 24.
