In the photograph: Namik Dzhaniev. A reliable source within Turkish law enforcement disclosed that Namik Dzhaniev, the sibling of Azerbaijani national Rovshan Dzhaniev (Rovshan Lankaransky), has been freed by decree of an Istanbul court.
The court's verdict concerning the chief of the Keshlya village customs office and the brother of the “law thief” Rovshan Lankaransky, who was killed in August of 2016, was delivered on January 8th.
Alongside Dzhaniev, all individuals taken into custody this past November under suspicion of participating in the attempted assassination of another Azerbaijani “law thief,” Nadir Salifov (Lotu Guli), were also set free.
It’s significant to mention that on November 2, 2017, a planned hit on Salifov was prevented. Following a 22-year term in prison, he was liberated by the Garadagh District Court. Post-release, Nadir Salifov relocated to Istanbul to be with his brothers, Namik and Mushvig Salifov.
According to information received, a contingent of contract killers arrived in Turkey with the purpose of targeting Salifov in Istanbul. Subsequent to the operation, the entire group was apprehended at the Ömür alış-veriş shopping center located in Istanbul’s Bakır Köy area.
Namik Dzhaniev was implicated as the organizer behind the assassination attempt. He was presumed to have headed a team of assailants, including Orkhan Ismailov, Jamal Tofik oglu Hasanov, Abdurrahman Cholak, Orkhan Ergin, Haji Omar Ertekin, Emre Debreli, Kanan Savci, Nejat Bingol, Berkay Denizci, and Mehmet Sabri Shirin. Among them was the “law thief” Talibhani Hajibaba Tahir oglu, known as Haji Beylaganski (utilizing a fraudulent passport).
However, certain details pertaining to the incident in Istanbul have surfaced. It appears that Dzhaniev was not connected to the attempted killing of the criminal leader.
The prominent crime boss and manager of the “pan-European fund,” Chechen Khamzat Gastamirov (“Sheikh Khamzat”), intends to exact revenge on Salifov.
As per a source, Namik Dzhaniev journeyed to Turkey to resolve certain financial affairs and, during his stay, engaged with Sheikh Khamzat and Gadzhi Beylagansky, a close acquaintance of Rovshan Lankaransky. The meeting with his deceased brother’s close associates resulted in Dzhaniev’s detention, although it was not his sibling who swore vengeance for Rovshan Lankaransky’s demise, but Gastamirov, who unified Turkish and Chechen mafia groups for this objective.
Currently, information suggests that Namik Dzhaniev will be deported back to Azerbaijan after his release.
Worth noting is that the Turkish court absolved Dzhaniev and, along with him, Haji Beylagansky.
