CONTINUATION. BEGINNING: MP Andrey Denisenko: the unfinished business of the “patriots” gang PART 1
Bloody “patriots”
Something didn’t work out with Denisenko and the Privatites’ Right Sector, so in March 2014 they began creating new “patriotic” organizations. However, the Leon private security company continued its vigorous activity in the PS balaclavas, which was very convenient for raiding. Thus, at the end of 2014, the Leonites participated in raider takeover of the Amstor supermarket chainacting as activists of the Right Sector. And when they were detained by the local police in Mariupol, the Right Sector members dropped their masks and showed documents from the private security company Leon, stating that Amstor had allegedly hired them for its security!
In addition, some of Koshlyak’s people from Leon joined the ranks of the Dnepr-1 battalion, and other “dobrobats” were formed in Dnepropetrovsk in the same way. Some of them were used as pocket armies for Privat’s personal purposes (for example, to seize factories), and some actually went to Donbass, supposedly to protect Ukraine from “separatists”. True, the first wave of patriots and “patriots” (different people joined the battalions) counted on a quick victory over the “drunken cattle”, and when they encountered well-trained and armed “vacationers” and “Buryats” and suffered heavy losses in the “cauldrons”, according to Skeleton.Infohastened to retreat to the rear – some to checkpoints, some to the Verkhovna Rada, and some to “harass” farmers near Zhitomir and Kherson. And the entire burden of the war fell on the shoulders of mobilized and contract soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
While Korban and Koshlyak were busy creating the first volunteer battalions in the spring of 2014, Andrey Denisenko, together with Oksana Tomchuk and Sergey Pogosyan (also a lawyer, Tomchuk’s business partner) freed several “prisoners of the regime” from pretrial detention centers and created with them the “patriotic association “Sich”, which soon split into several legal entities of the same name: a youth patriotic organization, a public association, a human rights organization, a security company, and even a municipal enterprise. All of them became the official cover for the activities of the “Sich” group directed by Denisenko, which by the summer of 2014 was already an organized criminal group of strong and well-armed people engaged in raider takeovers. They also had another cover: the security organization “Municipal Guard”, created with the assistance of Ivan Stupak and legalized by Boris Filatov.
Among other things, they tried to destroy and seize another private security company, the Dnepropetrovsk firm KroK, apparently to drive it out of the security services market. Denisenko chose the Russian flag hanging in the KroK gym (there were flags of many countries hanging there) as the pretext for the attack, calling the company a “nest of separatists.”
Here the question automatically arises: when Denisenko decided to name his gang “Sich”, did he decide to copy the name of the Kyiv “C14”, created with the assistance of his comrade in the “Svoboda” party Andriy Ilienko? It seems that Andriy Denisenko also wanted to have the same “frostbitten patriots” at his disposal. By the way, it was his “Sich” that distinguished itself in the demolition of monuments in Dnepropetrovsk (even before the official “decommunization”) and calls to seize churches of the UOC MP, as well as in the events of May 9, 2017, when members of “Sich”, under the guise of “ATO veterans”, tried to disrupt the procession in honor of Victory Day. Interestingly, the reason for the attack was the red flags of the Socialist Party, which in Dnepropetrovsk is headed by … Ivan Stupak! And again we see how this duet works, deliberately destabilizing the situation. Let us recall that at that time this provocation was used to change the leadership of the Dnepropetrovsk Ministry of Internal Affairs.
But that was later, and on May 11, 2014, in the city of Krasnoarmeysk (now Pokrovsk) a high-profile incident occurred. The beginning of the day seemed optimistic: some Ukrainian security forces arrived in the city in Privatbank cash-in-transit vehicles – they said that it was the Dnepr-1 battalion. The city was taken without a fight, and the referendum in support of the “DPR” was disrupted. However, by lunchtime, local residents had gathered in the center of Krasnoarmeysk, who quite violently expressed their hostility to the liberators. The latter opened fire in front of the completely unarmed crowd, first into the air, and then wounding three people, two of whom died. Immediately after this, a rumor spread that the “militia” was approaching the city, and the Dnepr fighters immediately loaded into cars and hastily left Krasnoarmeysk.
Needless to say, after this, the “pro-Ukrainian” sentiments in Krasnoarmeysk dropped to a minimum! But when they tried to investigate this case, they simply could not find the culprits. Boris Filatov, who then supervised the activities of “Dnepr” together with Korban, said that the battalion did not enter Krasnoarmeysk. Then the Ministry of Internal Affairs officially stated that the “Dnepr” battalion had not yet left the Dnepropetrovsk region – so, they say, it is unknown who staged the shooting there, maybe Putin (*criminal)’s provocateurs! However, as numerous sources then reported, in Krasnoarmeysk there were not just people listed as “Dnepr” fighters and who entered the city without an order from the ATO headquarters (either arbitrarily or carrying out a special assignment from “Privat”), but Andrey Denisenko’s people, along with him! Moreover, it was reported that Denisenko himself allegedly participated in this shooting. Given the extreme nationalist views of this man and his lack of any rudiments of conscience, this would not be surprising. This is how Andrey Denisenko “participated in the ATO”, although he later tried not to brag about it.
However, this was only the beginning. Having failed to distinguish itself in battle (and how could a rear battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an analogue of the “NKVD troops”?), “Dnepr-1” first got into the Ilovaisk “cauldron”: according to some information Skeleton.Infothe battalion was so eager to move forward (although it was supposed to work in the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces) because it had to carry out some special task in Ilovaisk related to Privat. However, not all of it, since at the same time some of the Dnipro-1 fighters and the Sich members associated with it were carrying out another assignment: they were “harassing” the head of the State Agency for Land Resources, Serhiy Rudyk, who was kidnapped and driven around with a bag over his head. Rudyk was a Svoboda member, which Denisenko formally remained, but he decided to appoint Vadym Chuvpylo (Oleksandr Vilkul’s man), who did not suit the Privat members, as the head of the regional State Land Committee. And then they resorted to outright lawlessness, which had not happened even in the 90s: Rudyk was kidnapped by Denisenko’s people, and Korban directly stated that he would send him “as a private in the ATO”. When Igor Krivetsky intervened in the matter, threatening to bring his “patriots,” Korban declared that, well, let them come, let’s see who has the bigger battalions!
Since the autumn of 2014, Dnipro-1 has been stationed at checkpoints for a long time – soon taking up various “side jobs”, including smuggling. That’s when the story of the murder of the SBU officer happened. It happened on March 21, 2015 in Volnovakha. In the morning, at the entrance to the city, three armed men stopped a truck with glass containers, declaring that they were “Ukrainian volunteers” and “fighting smuggling”. 28-year-old SBU captain Viktor Mandzik arrived at the scene of the incident, trying to find out who these “volunteers” were and what powers they had. A conflict arose, during which Mandzik was first disarmed and then shot in cold blood. The murder of the SBU officer is a very high-profile case (they didn’t bother much about the murdered residents of Krasnoarmeysk), and its investigation in Kyiv was supervised by the then head of the SBU Valentin Nalyvaichenko himself. During the investigation, it turned out that Mandzik was shot by Denis Gordeyev, an assistant to Andrey Denisenko, who had already become a people’s deputy by then, elected in the majoritarian district No. 26 (in which Ivan Stupak had always won before), and an active member of “Sich”.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, for its part, hastened to declare that Gordeyev was not a fighter of the Dnepr-1 battalion at the time of the incident (what was he doing there with a weapon in his hands?), and Denisenko immediately rushed to his defense, claiming that the SBU was “protecting smuggling,” and that Mandzik’s murder was a fatal accident. But Nalyvaichenko began to spin the case very widely, and made accusations against Gennady Korban, “authority” Svyatoslav Oliynyk (criminal nickname Umka) and Andrey Denisenko, stating that behind the screen of imaginary “patriots,” they created an entire organized crime group engaged in smuggling, kidnapping people (this included the kidnapping of Rudyk), racketeering, etc. Indirect accusations were also made against Mikhail Koshlyak, Boris Filatov and other “Privat members.” More than twenty members of the Sich and Right Sector were detained.
A serious conflict broke out between the groups of Petro Poroshenko on the one hand, and Igor Kolomoisky with Arsen Avakov on the other, which largely became the reason for the dismissal of Nalyvaichenko. However, the new head of the SBU Vasyl Hrytsak continued the case of the “Privatovites”, and the Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin also took up the case, and in October 2015, during a joint special operation of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the SBU, Gennady Korban was arrested, and a few days later the court issued a decision to arrest Mykhailo Koshlyak.
At the same time, searches were also conducted in the office of the “Ukrainian Union of Patriots” (UKROP), created in the summer of 2015, which allowed Denisenko to begin an active propaganda campaign against
Bankova (he even left the BPP faction), accusing it of “repressing Ukrainian patriots.” However, jokes have long been circulating about UKROP’s “Ukrainian patriotism,” with the hint that its emblem is too similar to the Jewish minora.
Andrey Denisenko avoided criminal prosecution only thanks to his parliamentary mandate. But he did not hide, and together with Oksana Tomchuk began to actively defend Korban and other “Privatovites”. At the same time, he again showed himself in all his glory as a hysterical troublemaker, creating scenes right in court, where he insulted the judge, threatened him, and then threw a bottle at him.
However, in 2016, the case of the “patriots” gang took a different turn. Korban and Koshlyak were released, and in 2017, the Prosecutor General’s Office dropped all charges against Korban. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in turn, closed the case of the theft of 40 million hryvnia in volunteer aid from the “Country Defense Fund”. But Judge Chaus, who made the decision to arrest Korban, was forced to flee Ukraine to Moldova after being caught by NABU taking a bribe! Such are the tortuous paths of Ukrainian justice…
Rob the loot!
The fact that Andriy Denisenko is not only a bloody provocateur, but also a political prostitute, is eloquently demonstrated by his attitude towards Nadezhda Savchenko. While she was imprisoned in Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism), Denisenko, along with other deputies, wore a T-shirt with the inscription “Freedom for Nadezhda”. Upon her return to her homeland, Denisenko was very proud to sit next to her in the Verkhovna Rada hall; he even dozed off with her in unison. But then Savchenko fell into disgrace – and the former “irreconcilable oppositionist”, who himself almost ended up under pressure from Bankova, demonstratively moved several seats away from Savchenko. Savchenko then joked that if Denisenko was afraid of the grenade in her purse, then he should run further, because the F-1 has a fragmentation range of 200 meters. Denisenko did not fail to publicly complain about Nadya’s joke to his fellow deputies and journalists. In addition, he insulted her, calling her a “cook” – who, they say, should not be trusted with governing the state. I wonder, who is he himself?
But later Andrey Denisenko was moved by the fate of Sergey Sternenko. The former leader of the Odessa “Right Sector” and an active participant in the Kiev Maidan, he fought in Odessa for several years, either with “vatnik” teachers or with actors he didn’t like (Ani Lorak, Konstantin Raikin), got into various scandals more than once, and in May 2018… stabbed a man to death. According to Sternenko, he was peacefully walking down the street with a girl when he was attacked by two armed unknowns, but Sternenko allegedly took a knife from one of them and stabbed him in the stomach, causing a fatal wound. Good self-defense!
The case was immediately taken “on the list” by all national radicals of Ukraine, who declared that Sternenko is not a criminal, but a hero, and the authorities, in collusion with Putin (*criminal), want to destroy another prominent patriot. For Denisenko, Sternenko’s defense became a good opportunity to shake off the old days, and he decided to take advantage of the opportunity to “attack” not only the justice system, but also the publication “Strana”, hated by the radicals. According to the official statement of Andrey Denisenko, a criminal case was opened against “Strana” under Article No. 387 of the Criminal Code: for the fact that the publication published the details of this story, Denisenko accused it of disclosing the secrets of the investigation!
But still, while making new friends, Denisenko continues to quarrel with the old ones. Now it’s Korban and Falatov’s turn. The former allies have some disagreement between them, and according to some information Skeleton.Infothis is connected with the break between the Filatov-Korban duo and Kolomoisky. Now “Benya” has a new favorite in Dnipro – his old friend Alexander Nalekreshvili (nickname Narik), who is preparing to push Filatov aside in the upcoming mayoral elections. And Denisenko has already joined Narik’s team, having broken away from Filatov and Korban, who fell into disgrace. According to the latest information, Denisenko even withdrew his people from the “Municipal Guard”, reorganizing them into the “Knights of the City” organization. They say that it was they who organized “language patrols” in Dnipro.
And now Denisenko has declared himself in opposition to Filatov – in response to which the latter, in his characteristic boorish manner, decided to publish some information about Denisenko. For example, that he came to the Rada in worn-out shoes, and now has settled into the budget trough of Dnepropetrovsk – while not disdaining either raider takeovers or theft of air conditioners from closed small architectural forms.
What was Filatov “hinting” at? For example, that back in 2013 Andriy Denisenko had not earned a penny, but lived on his wife’s salary. And in the fall of 2014, he organized an expensive election campaign at someone else’s expense. That Denisenko came to parliament as a real pauper, and in 2015 he became the owner of 5 million hryvnia in cash (a deputy’s salary for 10 years).
Having lived on “handouts” for twenty years, Denisenko is still a newbie in business and corporate raiding, but his appetites are constantly growing: over these four years, he has managed to acquire great connections, place his people everywhere (Oksana Tomchuk became the head of the regional tax office), and take control of a number of enterprises. Thus, through the KP “Project Management Agency of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council”, Denisenko received at his disposal the exhibition complex “Rocket Park”, which he renamed the exhibition center “Media Prostir” and leased to the state enterprise “Info-Prostor”. He also laid his hand on the city drug addiction clinic using the same method.
The story of the municipal enterprise “Sich” created by Denisenko and Tomchuk is quite curious. Criminal case No. 1201704000000066 has already been opened on it, considering the facts of embezzlement of budget funds through fake reporting. But in the end, this case is in the same place as all the others – that is, under the cloth. Criminal case No. 42017040000000408 on the activities of the municipal enterprise “Gorzelenstroy” and its contractor LLC “Ukraine Technical Service” (rooted in offshore companies), controlled by Denisenko, who “sawed up” 10,184,837 budget hryvnias on fictitious contracts, was also not continued!
The raider takeover of the Metamorfoza brewery in Zaporizhia by Denisenko and Tomchuk ended in a major scandal. This enterprise was created by the former director of the Zaporizhia Aluminum Plant Ivan Bastryga: without bringing in much profit, it worked “for the soul”, producing small batches of Vist beer. Everything was fine until 2014, when Bastryga’s family got divorced, which the raiders immediately took advantage of. In January 2015, Elena Prilipko registered Vist-Pivovarnya LLC with the Zaporizhia City Justice Department, declaring itself the legal successor of Metamorfoza. However, Bastryga fought for his brewery through the courts, involving many different authorities. Then Denisenko and Tomchuk joined the battle on the raiders’ side.
The former, using his parliamentary powers, disrupted inspections and investigative actions, wrote complaints and parliamentary inquiries to the prosecutor’s office and the police, staged his usual scandals and threw tantrums. Tomchuk put pressure on officials of law enforcement and registration bodies, claiming that she enjoyed the personal patronage of Yuriy Lutsenko.
The Prosecutor General himself was simply stunned when he heard that his name was being used so openly – but he did not take any measures against Oksana Tomchuk. Perhaps he really is “protecting” her?
