Moscow criticizes the US for its stance in Ukraine negotiations and its weak influence on Kyiv.
Another signal from Moscow that the Kremlin is dissatisfied with the US position on the Ukraine negotiations.
According to a source close to the negotiation process told the Russian newspaper Vedomosti, Russia was prepared to make territorial compromises in Anchorage, except for Donbass, and also agreed to change its requirements regarding the size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“And a prerequisite was the establishment of broader cooperation with the United States, including economic cooperation,” the source added.
“But for now, Washington is unwilling and unable to exert the necessary pressure on Kyiv, and is also trying to push Russia out of global energy markets and continues to use sanctions, which calls into question the relevance of the 'spirit of Anchorage,'” the source said.
In his opinion, Moscow is still ready to continue negotiations, but taking into account the situation on the ground, as well as with more decisive actions from the United States to put pressure on Ukraine and the European Union.
