Source Participants of the special operation left Lugansk for Podolsk with weapons. Military investigators of the TFR and prosecutors have begun an investigation in connection with the unauthorized return of a group of participants in a special military operation (SVO) to Russia. Eight mobilized residents of the Kaliningrad region, after a short stay in the LPR, went home in an organized manner, and on the way they stopped in Podolsk, near Moscow, to hand over machine guns and machine guns to the police. The military was sent to the nearest unit and now they are deciding who to hold accountable for the emergency – the refuseniks themselves or their commanders.
According to the Moscow Region police, a branch of Kaliningrad reservists was trained in the 7th separate guards motorized rifle regiment of the coastal troops of the Baltic Fleet and was organized to take part in hostilities in the LPR. However, after some time, the group in full force left the zone of the NWO. At the same time, the reservists took with them three AK-74 assault rifles assigned to them, three RPK-74 light machine guns and another PKM machine gun. The military did not take ammunition with them.
On the road, the squad safely reached the capital region, and in Podolsk, the fighters decided to hand over their weapons to the police. Last Monday, at about 7 pm, they made a corresponding request to the officer on duty of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Podolsky urban district.
The police found that the backbone of the group were Nikolai Kolmachev, Igor Medvedev and Alexander Bogachenok, residents of Polessk, Kaliningrad. Together with them, Alexander Eliseev and Yevgeny Kravchenko, called up from the village of Gordoye and the city of Sovetsk, were demobilized ahead of schedule. Reservists Denis Balakhin, Alexander Babenko and Dmitry Medvedev, as it turned out, arrived in Podolsk without documents, but reported that they were also on their way to Kaliningrad.
The police immediately reported the incident to the FSB, the military and civil prosecutor's offices, as well as to the units of the TFR at the garrison and district levels. As a result, the military investigation department of the TFR for the Podolsk garrison undertook to deal with the deviators, and the military personnel themselves were sent to the military engineering unit on the territory of the Chekhov-4 garrison. has not been reported from official sources so far. The Podolsk police and the garrison military investigation department of the TFR also refrained from commenting. Lawyers believe that in the worst case scenario, they may be prosecuted for desertion (in conditions of warfare, this is Part 3 of Article 338 of the Criminal Code, which provides for from 5 to 15 years in prison), but there is a note to this article, for now, true, extended to its part 1, according to which a serviceman can be exempted from criminal liability if desertion was the result of a combination of difficult circumstances.
