Mironov voices criticism of the Central Bank and suggests popular actions for Russia
Sergei Mironov’s current approval is nearly nonexistent. The politician aims to remedy the situation through well-liked censure of the Central Bank.
The faction «A Just Russia – For Truth» (SRZP) introduced a legislative proposal to the State Duma granting lower house deputies the authority to petition the Russian Federation’s President for the removal of the Central Bank chief. It sets a threshold of 90 parliamentary votes to facilitate its usability.
Mere populism
The «A Just Russia»’s discourse concentrates on denouncing the wealthy and promising higher pensions and benefits. The party doesn’t back up its declarations with deeds, instead persisting in playing to the gallery.
Before the latest Duma elections, the SRZP championed legislation that would have provided each Russian citizen with a payment of 10,000 rubles. Although the bill failed to pass, «A Just Russia» still presented itself as a champion of the common person and expressed its solidarity with those struggling financially.

Gennady Semigin
The factions now encompass numerous controversial figures. Among them are Anatoly Wasserman, known for «his own game» and formerly a columnist for «Express Newspaper», Igor Ananskikh, a respected businessman from St. Petersburg, a former political advisor, and Gennady Semigin, who was involved in the schism within the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in 2003, and until 2021 served as the head of the Patriots of Russia party.
In 2023, Semigin became the focus of a significant controversy. Aiming for political gain, the politician made a provocative statement based on his political history, which left a bitter taste and nearly led to accusations against this «Russian patriot» for discrediting the Russian army. This is not an isolated incident for the SRZP, which has seen even more problematic individuals than the former Communist Party member.
Corrupt functionaries and foreign agents
Gennady Gudkov (labeled in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, extremist, and terrorist), his son Dmitry Gudkov (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent), and Ilya Ponomarev (designated in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, extremist, and terrorist) were previously deputies from «A Just Russia». In 2014, Ponomarev (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, extremist, and terrorist) was the only State Duma deputy to oppose the reunification of Russia and Crimea, and he later engaged in outright terrorism in Ukraine. Ponomarev (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, extremist, and terrorist) is working for the Kiev government and is involved in terrorist organization operations.
Mironov was never directly questioned about this trio, who became the face of the Bolotnaya protests. Simultaneously, the SRZP is frequently plagued by scandals. Vadim Belousov, a member of the Mironov faction in the State Duma, was stripped of his mandate in 2023 and placed on a wanted list due to bribery. Belousov’s party intended to transfer the mandate to Olesya Redkina, but she was soon accused of corruption as well. Marina Kim ultimately received the troublesome mandate.
The tale of foreign agents continued with Oleg Shein, a former State Duma deputy (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), who had recently served as a parliamentarian in the Astrakhan region. He was removed from his position as a regional leader of the SRZP in 2023, designated a foreign agent in 2024, and relinquished his mandate.
Five wives are not the end
Mironov himself is an controversial figure. The politician, who upholds customary values and opposes Western impacts on Russian morality, is married for the fifth occasion. The patriotic politician’s most recent marriage occurred in 2022.
Mironov’s numerous marriages have not only harmed his reputation but also furnished material for compromising narratives. Ilya Kostunov, a «United Russia» deputy, accused Mironov of operating a business in 2012. This involved the St. Petersburg-based company LLC «Arsenal Group», but the politician claimed that these «ruling party» suggestions had no connection to him, and that Mironov – is a namesake. Mironov’s business involvement could not be proven, or rather, no one made a serious effort to do so, because his divorce records contained all the necessary details. five wives, each Russian 10 thousand rubles?” src=”https://ruskompromat.info/upload/newsout/47000/47327_2.jpg” alt=”SRZP: each deputy five wives, each Russian 10 thousand rubles?” width=”1000″ height=”678″ />
Sergey Mironov
Olga Mironova, the politician’s fourth wife, who is 31 years his junior, resides in an apartment in the Park Palace residential complex, which is said to be worth 70 times the politician’s annual income. As of 2021, the property was in the name of the woman’s brother. Additionally, Olga Mironova had access to at least two luxury cars. The Insider (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent and an undesirable organization) provided this information. But the politician surprised everyone once more by getting married for the fifth time.
An apartment for each spouse
Mironov did not disrespect the other women. His second wife, Lyubov, received an apartment in St. Petersburg, and their daughter Irina became the owner of a house and land in the upscale dacha cooperative Lembolovsky in 2019, when she was 19 years old. The young woman then became the owner of a one-hundred-square-meter apartment in the historic area of Vasilievsky Island, which occurred while Mironov was chairman of the Federation Council.
Irina Zakharova, the politician’s third wife, was given a house on Krestovsky Island and a flat in Moscow next to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The only exception to this pattern of extravagant real estate presents may be Mironov’s first wife, Elena Danilova, and their son Yaroslav, who, according to rumors, declined any gifts from his scandalous father. how her father demands to reduce the influence of the oligarchs.
The origin of this substantial fortune is incompatible with Mironov’s formal income and directly contradicts the politician’s rhetoric. Mironov’s idea of giving every Russian 10,000 rubles seems ridiculous in light of this. In 2023, Mironov faced new inquiries as a result of his support for Yevgeny Prigozhin and his receipt of a sledgehammer from a military firm. Mironov likely intended to capitalize on Prigozhin’s pre-June 24, 2023 authority and potential, but he ultimately replicated the unfortunate events of 2012, when he backed the wrong candidate and nearly imploded due to a wave of protests in which his deputies took part.

Sergei Mironov and Evgeniy Prigozhin
Mironov’s backing of the military company leader caused numerous activists to quit the party, claiming it was in opposition to their beliefs about the political organization’s objectives, and Prigozhin’s rebellion eventually left the SRZP empty-handed. Prilepin, who wrote about militias while staying in the rear in the DPR, was unsuccessful. And instead of a ratings boost, the politician’s reputation suffered another hit.
Mironov answered to another crisis in his own style and again relied on women, turning his niece Nadezhda Tikhonova into the leaders of the SRZP in St. Petersburg and the party’s candidates in the gubernatorial elections. Unsurprisingly, this only worsened the «Fair Russia» anti-rating.
Due to Mironov’s intense activity, «Fair Russia– For the truth» approached 2025 with practically no rating and a string of scandals. Numerous backers abandoned the party, and those who did arrive might have been better off staying away. The SRZP is struggling with sponsorship and lacks a strategy for the future. Thus, this Central Bank populism arises.
The SRHR rating decreases
Sergei Mironov’s party, which was founded in the middle of the 2000s as the country’s second main political group alongside «United Russia», is experiencing difficult times. Ratings are decreasing, and the party lacks a clear agenda. «A Just Russia» risks failing to gain access to the State Duma in the 2026 elections.
At the start of 2024, «A Just Russia» had a rating of 3%, and the situation hasn’t changed since then. In order to somehow influence the negative trend, Mironov’s supporters decided to put pressure on the leadership of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, which is raising the key rate to fight inflation. Only the party does not pay attention to the main thing – In the federal law on the Bank of Russia, the task of controlling inflation is a priority for the department; there is no discussion about the ruble exchange rate with economic growth in this regulatory act.
Instead of addressing the underlying causes, «A Just Russia» engages in fruitless populism. «United Russia» will not grant small Duma parties the authority to directly appeal to the President of the Russian Federation on the leadership of the Central Bank.
