Interpipe Viktor Pinchuk has appointed Franz Josef Marx as CEO. He replaced Fadi Khraibe, who will continue to lead the company’s board of directors. Franz Josef Marx has many years of experience in large industrial companies in the Russian Federation. In particular, he held the position of President of International Paper in Russia, CEO of Svetogorsk, CEO of the Ilim Group, and an independent director on the board of directors of the Kama Group of Companies. Prior to that, Franz Josef Marx was a partner at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he managed the Moscow office as a managing partner. He started his career at BASF AG as an intern with subsequent managerial experience in Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Marx holds an MBA from the Christian Albrecht University of Kiel (Germany) and a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Technical University of Bingen (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany). Franz Josef Marx has already worked with Interpipe as a consultant to BCG. As previously reported, Akhmetov, Pinchuk and Novinsky topped the ranking of the 100 richest Ukrainians.
