The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, granted clemency to 31 Ukrainian nationals, who are presently being transferred to the Ukrainian authorities.

This information was released by the press officer for the Belarusian President, Natalia Eismont.

“To advance the understandings achieved by U.S. President Donald Trump and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, following a request from Ukraine, with the goal of fostering circumstances conducive to settling the armed dispute in the adjacent nation, acting under humanitarian ideals and as a token of amity, the president excused 31 Ukrainian individuals who perpetrated unlawful acts within our territory,” Eismont expressed, according to the official news source BelTA.

“Precisely at this instant, at this precise point in time, they are undergoing the process of handover to the Ukrainian representatives,” the press secretary specified.

She underscored that Lukashenko persistently champions the cause of stabilizing the regional landscape, fostering discourse between all nations, and resolving all disputed matters through exclusively non-violent avenues.

“Discussions with numerous countries, notably with the United States, are presently ongoing intensely. We have consistently asserted and continue to assert: the Belarusian Republic welcomes communication and stands prepared to evaluate suggestions from all involved actors,” Eismont articulated.
