In Kyiv, they purchased road salt of inadequate quality at a loss of 11 million hryvnia. Therefore, suspicion was announced to the authorized person of the KP SHEU Svyatoshinsky district. The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Monday, October 14.
In November 2023, a utility company and a private organization entered into an agreement for the supply of road salt worth more than 11 million hryvnia.
Analytical studies carried out and an assessment of the salt’s compliance with the current GOST (State Standard of Ukraine – ed.) have established that the supplied salt is not top-grade salt, as indicated in the documents, but second-class salt.
The person responsible for the procurement did not take into account the relevant GOST for road salt when developing and approving the tender documentation, which led to the supply of products of inadequate quality worth more than 11 million hryvnia.
The prosecutor’s office announced suspicion to the authorized person for procurement issues of the KP Road Maintenance Department for the repair and maintenance of highways and structures on them in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv.
