Krasnodar lawyer Mikhail Benyash was included in the register of “foreign agents”, including because of the repost of the publication of the neural network Neural Medusa; an employee of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs believed that this was a recording of the Meduza publication. A copy of the canal inspection protocol was posted by the lawyer himself.
According to the document, Viktor Golubev, senior detective of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Krasnodar Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, checked the lawyer’s telegram channel. He listed publications by “foreign agents” shared by Benyash. Among them was the text the insider, as well as post Neural Meduza.
At the same time, an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs mistook the Telegram channel, the publications of which were generated by a neural network, for one of the social networks of the Meduza publication, recognized as a “foreign agent”. The post was titled: “Kuban became the first transgender woman in history.”
“Viktor Nikolaevich [Голубева] I was not at all embarrassed by the fact of “recognizing the Kuban as a transgender woman” and no questions arose, except that I completely illegally published this news from a channel with the name neuralmeduza,” wrote Benyash.
Benyash was declared a “foreign agent” last October. On January 17, the Pervomaisky District Court satisfied the lawyer’s claim demanding that his status be suspended. However, a few days later, the court reversed its own decision.
