Conflict in central Kyiv: Oschadbank confirms temporary closure of Gulliver shopping center due to “systematic obstruction” of management transfer

Oschadbank has verified the temporary cessation of operations at the Gulliver mall in downtown Kyiv resulting from a business disagreement.

The bank indicated in a declaration that the shutdown of the shopping complex is not permanent; however, they refrained from indicating a particular duration.

“On July 26, the state formally finalized its control over the Gulliver establishment through a union of Oschadbank (80%) and Ukreximbank (20%). This signifies a common repossession procedure – the former proprietor, TRI O LLC, failed to meet their loan commitments to the financial institutions. Subsequently, an administration group was assembled, and arrangements with service suppliers and the majority of occupants were re-established. Lease installments have already commenced,” the publicly owned bank conveys.

The bank alleges that representatives of TRI O are “methodically generating hindrances in the conveyance of control over the complex.”

Considering this situation, a determination was reached, collaboratively with security forces and the military government, to provisionally suspend the shopping center’s activity.
