
Kuwait's Mina al-Ahmadi oil refinery caught fire after a drone attack.
The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has officially confirmed the attack on the Mina al-Ahmadi oil refinery.
According to news reports, the drone strike at the 346,000-barrel-per-day facility hit several operating units, sparking major fires. KPC stated that “emergency response and firefighting crews were dispatched to contain the fires and prevent their further spread.”
The company emphasized that there were no injuries among its staff, but some operations were suspended to assess the damage and ensure safety. In a statement, KPC noted that “precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of personnel and the protection of facilities,” and that the corporation's specialists are working to ensure operational continuity.
