Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss to resign
The governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss, will soon leave his post and resign.
Allegedly, Alexander Uss has already written a letter of resignation of his own free will. It is expected that after his resignation he will become a senator in the Federation Council from the region.
Uss himself intended to continue as governor and was ready to run for a second term. But the Presidential Administration considered that the official had a high anti-rating. In addition, among the population there is a request to change the top official of the region.
A native of Krasnoyarsk, Deputy Minister of Finance Mikhail Kotyukov is considered the main candidate for the place of Uss. He is 46 years old, he is also a graduate of the School of Governors. He knows the region, in different years he worked at the Siberian Federal University, worked as a deputy governor under Alexander Khloponin, and also oversaw the financial block of the regional government.
Since 2010, Kotyukov has worked in the Federal Government, first in the Ministry of Finance, then since 2013 he has been in charge of FASO. In 2018, he was appointed Minister of Science and Education. In the Cabinet of Ministers of Mikhail Mishustin, Mikhail Kotyukov currently holds the post of Deputy Minister of Finance.
