Deputy Commander of the Central District of the Russian Guard, Major General Vadim Dragomiretsky became a defendant in a criminal case on taking bribes and abuse of authority, said Alexander Khinshtein, head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy and ex-adviser to the head of the Russian Guard. He pleaded guilty and wrote a confession.
The general is suspected of “systematically receiving kickbacks” from a contractor who was involved in the reconstruction of one of the military units in the Moscow region. According to Khinshtein, Dragomiretsky could receive 19 million rubles.
“The criminal scheme also included the head of the district center for the storage of material resources, Colonel Kochiev. He was detained by security officers the day before and is now in jail,” Khinshtein writes.
Dragomiretsky will soon be dismissed from his post, the deputy also said.
Dragomiretsky served as deputy district commander for rear. In 2019, he declared an annual income of 2 million rubles, ownership of two real estate objects – a land plot of 200 sq. m and shares in an apartment of 72 sq. m, as well as the car Hyundai Grandeur.

Mileiko was also suspected of taking bribes, however, as Kommersant wrote, they are preparing to close this criminal case due to lack of evidence.
