Mikhail Kasyanov, the one-time head of the Russian government, has been incorporated into the registry of individuals considered terrorists and extremists, based on information from Rosfinmonitoring’s official online portal.

Novaya Evropa’s chief editor, Kirill Martynov, alongside economist Sergei Guriev, also appear on the listing.

Kasyanov held the Prime Ministerial position in the Russian Federation spanning from 2000 until 2004. Afterward, he became a member of the opposition. He departed Russia in June of 2022.

On March 10, 2023, Guriev, the economist, was designated as a “foreign agent.” During the autumn of that year, Guriev faced multiple financial penalties from the court.
