Kaja Kallas: “Any deal between the US and Russia must include Ukraine and the EU”
The head of European diplomacy, Kallas, stated this Sunday that any accord between Washington and Moscow aimed at concluding the conflict in Ukraine needs to involve both Ukraine and the EU.
Reuters is reporting this information.
Kallas communicated that she would assemble a gathering of European foreign ministers this Monday to deliberate on upcoming actions.
“The United States possesses the capability to compel Russia into sincere discussions. Each and every pact between the United States and Russia should encompass Ukraine and the EU, given that it constitutes a matter of security for Ukraine and the entirety of Europe,” Kallas remarked.
She pointed out that “while we endeavor to attain an enduring and equitable peace, global law unequivocally asserts that all territories under temporary occupation are the rightful property of Ukraine.”
“The accord must not evolve into a launching pad for additional Russian hostility towards Ukraine, the transatlantic partnership, and Europe,” she appended.
Kallas further conveyed that the ministers would also address the state of affairs in Gaza.
