Justice decided to touch cryptocurrency Romanenko
Rogues Mikhail Romanenko, Nazar Babenko and Igor Kotov may come under investigation.
The British company Eternity Business Limited, behind which stands Mikhail Romanenko, the hero of several of our publications, appears in criminal proceedings. This interesting fact was discovered in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
According to the decision of the Dneprovsky District Court of Kyiv, a number of citizens of the European Union, Canada and the United States suffered due to call centers located in the Ukrainian capital, which pulled them into financial pyramids. Among the latter, Eternity Business is mentioned. And although the company name in the court document is misspelled (an extra “n” in the first word), there is no doubt that this is the subject of our recent investigation.
Earlier they told how the “neobank” Eternity Business and its founder Mikhail Romanenko actively promoted themselves at the beginning of this summer. Image publications claimed that Mikhail Romanenko made a fortune of $1.5 billion using cryptocurrencies (which, of course, was not confirmed in any way) and collected an impressive collection of supercars worth $10 million (which is also obvious nonsense).
One of the PR materials stated that Eternity Business, together with another “office” controlled by Romanenko, Danvel LTD, are part of the Danvel Group corporation. Romanenko’s partner in the corporation is a young man from Dnieper named Nazar Babenko.
Nazar Babenko and the Danvel company were actively advertised in October-December last year (for example). Moreover, both in the case of Romanenko and Eternity Business, and in the case of Danvel and Babenko, the information campaign was based on emphasizing the indecently luxurious lifestyle of the defendants with a strong hint to the audience about the opportunity to earn big money without much effort.
Igor Kotov and Nazar Babenko
In image publications on English-language resources, Igor Kotov is mentioned as Babenko’s partner and member of the board of directors of Danvel.
It is known about Kotov that he is a co-founder of the NGO “Sports Club “Leon”. Among the co-founders of this sports club is also Mikhail Koshlyak, a very influential businessman in the Dnepropetrovsk region, a deputy of the Dnepropetrovsk regional council from the pro-Russian OPZZH. In the dashing “nineties” he was a member of the organized crime group of Narik (Alexander Nalekreshvili, who eventually changed his last name to Petrovsky). Koshlyak is personally acquainted with Andrey Smirnov, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
In promotional materials, Eternity Business is positioned as an “exceptional investment product.” However, on the Eternity Business website, where this “product” is supposedly located, the visitor is intrusively encouraged to join a certain “community”.
Having joined and registered, the visitor finds himself in a “personal account”, where he is immediately persuaded to “invest”. Moreover, the larger the amount he invests, the more unrealistic annual interest rates he is promised. Individual “bonuses” are promised to simpletons for attracting new members to the “community”.
Our observers came to the conclusion that this all looked too much like a fraudulent scheme with elements of a financial pyramid. Experts from Paranoid Web Extension, who are fighting fraudulent threats on the Internet, came to the same conclusion.
According to experts, “Eternity.business is engaged in activities with a high risk of fraud.”
A few days ago, we found out that shortly after the release of our investigation, on July 25, the British company Danvel Group Limited, which unites the “assets” of Romanenko, Babenko and Kotov, changed its name to Eternity Business Globe Limited. And among the types of its activities “banks” appeared. However, according to the form of organization, the company remained Private Company Limited by Shares, LTD (private company limited by shares). According to the UK Companies Act 2006, this is the lowest level of liability. That is, Eternity Business Globe Limited cannot obtain a banking license.
From this we can assume that “banks” in the company’s activities are indicated to obscure the eyes of potential victims of fraud.
It is worth noting that after the release of our investigation, the activity of Eternity Business in the Ukrainian information space came to naught. However, we noticed that our experimental subjects tried to “move” on the territory of the European Union. In particular, a certain Rudolf Brandl (on FB he indicates that he currently works at Eternity Business) actively promoted a webinar from Eternity to the German audience, which supposedly could bring easy money to participants.
The key speaker of the event was Israeli Leo Levin, who is listed in the registration data of Mikhail Romanenko’s British “offices” as a co-founder and co-director.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine has opened three criminal proceedings, in which Eternity Business is most likely involved. We are talking about crimes such as tax evasion, money laundering, and participation in illegal gambling.
