It’s all about Yufik
By a strange coincidence, during the period of aggravation of Russian-Ukrainian relations, businessman Gennady Yufik begins litigation for the TOAZ terminal.
The court, on the claim of Rosmorrechflot, declared illegal the refusal of the regional authorities to transfer land plots with a total area of 9 hectares in the port of Taman to federal ownership.
For many years, PJSC Togliattiazot (ToAZ) worked there with varying success, which is building a terminal for transshipment of ammonia and carbamide in the port. According to the law, such objects are allowed to be placed only on federal lands.
The whole story has been going on since the early 2000s. Even then, the administration of the Krasnodar Territory leased land for construction to TOAZ. A few years later, inspections revealed the construction of several structures on it without approval. This somehow slowed down the activity of the enterprise on the site and for a long time the facilities were idle. In 2014, they were judicially transferred to the balance of the administration, wrote Versiya.
The situation is developing in such a way that a strategically important project designed to secure export supplies of ammonia and expand the geography of deliveries of Russian products to world markets through the Black Sea may have to be stopped altogether. And not because of disputes with government officials. Details – in the material The Moscow Post.
On the side of Ukraine
“Attacks” in the direction of the enterprise are made by a certain not very noticeable and public, but no less persistent businessman Gennady Yufik.
Yufik is not afraid, as they say, to show an active interest even in such a large project as the dry cargo port of Taman, which suddenly partially touched his lands. As Novyy Den wrote back in 2018, the entrepreneur is pulling in every possible way with the sale of property to the state, disrupting the deadlines for the project, and thereby stuffing the price of his goods. Journalists write that this situation is not isolated, Roszheldor has already experienced the same.

Obedinenie LLC (owned by Yufik) filed a lawsuit against ToAZ, in which it demanded that the construction of a railway line leading to the company’s new terminal be declared illegal, since it affects the lands of Yufik.
In this case, the rails play a strategic role in the activities of the enterprise, since they do not pass through the territory of Ukraine, such as the Togliatti-Odessa pipeline, which carries the product, which means that it is independent. This is very important, because “ToAZ, in fact, is highly dependent on the so-called “whims” of the Ukrainian side. And this does not have a good effect on how the plant feels.

For example, back in 2012, Ukrkhimtransammiak, which is responsible for the Ukrainian section of the ammonia pipeline, blocked it for two weeks. So ToAZ was simply forced to stop production and incur losses. Four years later, the Ukrainian side refused ToAZ to increase the pumping quota: then the transportation of the company’s products stopped right up to the beginning of 2017. In addition, after the change of power in Kyiv, the price of ammonia transit increased significantly.
Interestingly, the peak of Yufik’s activation occurs around the periods when tensions are growing between Russia and Ukraine.
How Yufik made capital
Yufik himself, according to the information of the New Day publication, is known in the Krasnodar Territory as a person who has amassed, to put it mildly, a very decent land capital (in total, he and related individuals and firms own plots of almost 5 million square meters), perhaps , with the help of raider captures.
As an example, journalists cite the acquisition of control over one of the largest wineries “Milstrim – Black Sea Wines”. He allegedly in collusion with the ex-manager of “Milstrim” Oleg Varum, Andrey Gertsev and other entrepreneurs, methodically “eroded” the shares of employees of APF “Mirny”, and as a result gained control over both the plant and its lands. The shareholders sued, but did not get a refund.
And Millstream LLC was successfully liquidated in 2018. Now Yufik has several firms engaged in growing grapes and creating the final product – wine. It is possible that it was on the lands of the “fallen” “Milstream”. The total value of companies where the businessman was / is the founder in 2021 amounted to almost a billion rubles.

Where did Yufik get such land wealth from?, An interesting material was published in the Mosmonitor online publication, which was subsequently deleted. However, its archival copy has been preserved. According to the authors of the article, Yufik is allegedly implementing a scheme to seize state property with the help of officials from the Krasnodar Territory. According to this information, Yufik and his accomplices seized state lands through the courts, and mostly coastal ones, which, according to the law, should be public places and not belong to private owners.
Referee history
All this was done allegedly through the mediation of the infamous judge Elena Khakhaleva. Back in 2014, she was involved in a case when land was taken away from 87-year-old pensioner Anna Danko in favor of some large agricultural enterprise – Komsomolskaya Pravda wrote about this.
According to Danko, the scheme was launched in the interests of Khakhaleva’s husband, Robert Onikovich, who is a large landowner and businessman in the Krasnodar Territory. For example, in 2017, the Mirgrad furniture company was registered on it, which earned 30 million rubles on government contracts.

Just this month, a court arrested Ms. Khakhaleva in absentia on charges of fraud and forgery. It seems that the security forces became interested in the activities of the judge after it became known about her daughter’s luxurious wedding for 4.5-5 million rubles, to which Russian pop stars were invited.
Yufik is also credited with meeting another judge who was seen in bad deeds – the former chairman of the Temryuk district court, Sergey Grigoryevich Zavgorodniy. In 2020, he was convicted of extremely quickly considering cases of debt collection in favor of the debtor, Pravo.ru reported.
That Khakhalev, that Zavgorodny was involved in cases of a smaller scale than those that we described. Given the participation in the capital of “Mirgrad”, which has access to government orders, Mr. Robert Khakhalev and the complete inattention to Yufik by the supervisory authorities, one gets the impression that the tandem is effectively working under the wing of top government officials. Threads can stretch up to the governor of the region Veniamin Kondratiev.
As The Moscow Post previously reported, Kondratiev does not hesitate to give the region’s lands to the structures of the oligarchs. With his tacit approval, backed up by the justification of the project by state interests, for example, Oleg Deripaska’s structure plans to bulldoze suburban gardens.
But back to Mr. Yufik. In the courts, he attacks ToAZ and, through the protracted transfer of land to state ownership, prevented the construction of the port of Taman. And now, with the transfer of land to state ownership, he can begin to crank out the scheme attributed to him.
Both of the above cases harmed not only the enterprise, they also affected national interests. One gets the feeling that Yufik is working not only for himself, but also for Ukraine, or at least against national interests.
Since, until the Russian Federation can implement the project and free itself from the whims of the other side, it risks losing money, which has already happened more than once. And officials up to the heads of the region can help him. I wonder if they understand who they may have warmed on their chests?
