Not very successful businessman Valery Nemirovsky stopped the work of the Moscow business club Club 500 due to the fact that allegedly millionaires did not accept him into their ranks. Now the club wants to punish him. Life has a suspicion that this was a planned action.
What happened at Club 500
The management of Club 500 intends to write a statement to the Investigative Committee against social activist Valery Nemirovsky, following a complaint from which the capital’s police closed the establishment for four hours and conducted an inspection there.
As it turned out, the scandal broke out because the man wanted to become a member of a closed business club owned by a famous business blogger, millionaire, author of a book on how to become a businessman, Dmitry Portnyagin. By decision of the owners, only successful multimillionaire businessmen with confirmed assets and income are accepted into it.
The Club 500 security service checked the candidate and found out that all four companies owned by Nemirovsky have long been closed, he does not even work as an individual entrepreneur – he only heads a certain social movement that has not provided any tax reporting to the Federal Tax Service for more than a year.
As a result, the social activist was denied membership – and he, apparently, got angry and called the police, accusing Club 500 employees of fraud.
Planned media attack or accident
The police had just begun the investigation when a number of telegram channels published information that the establishment’s employees were allegedly detained, equipment was confiscated, and Dmitry Portnyagin was accused of tax evasion on an especially large scale and money laundering.
The merchant’s accounts are supposedly already frozen.
Against this background, resonant stories with the detentions and arrests of top information bloggers like Elena Blinovskaya and the Lerchek family were immediately recalled, when estimates were given of the size of the market for marathons and personal growth trainings – according to some data, it was estimated at 2.6 billion rubles per year.
However, as Portnyagin’s lawyer told the SHOT telegram channel Evgeniy Gritskov, police officers did not find evidence of violation of the law while working at the club. According to him, at the moment the tax authorities have no claims against Club 500 and the Portnyagin family.
The SHOT telegram channel managed to contact the instigator of the scandal, Nemirovsky, and he confirmed that he had indeed called the police to the club because he considered its management to be scammers. True, for some reason the social activist demanded 99,999 rubles for further conversation.
Who is Valery Nemirovsky
Valery Nemirovsky is 48 years old, he has been living in Krasnogorsk near Moscow for many years, and in 2014 he became known among its residents as a candidate for the post of head of the Krasnogorsk municipal district. However, despite good support from voters (then he took second place, gaining 16.3% of the vote), he never managed to become mayor.
In addition to his social and political activities, Nemirovsky was engaged in business in Moscow: here he ran auto repair shops, sold cars, equipment, as well as audio and video equipment. Apparently, at some point something went wrong – and the companies began to close. The latter was liquidated by decision of the Federal Tax Service in 2021.
In parallel with the closure of the business, the name of the former candidate for mayor of the city began to appear in various scandals. Judging by the regional media, 2019 turned out to be a particularly fruitful year.
In mid-January, the Krasnogorsk press wrote that Nemirovsky caused a brawl in one of the Moscow strip clubs. On the night of January 16, the man was allegedly not allowed into the nightclub – and he called the police, reporting that a criminal was hiding there.
A few days later, the social activist started a scandal with the taxi driver. According to police reports, the intensity of passions with the showdown was such that employees of the National Guard had to remove the drunken Nemirovsky from the roof of the taxi.
Crime chronicles of a social activist
On January 24, 2019, the failed head of Krasnogorsk came to negotiations at the office of one of the companies located in the Moscow City business center. It seems that the parties could not come to an agreement – and an angry Nemirovsky destroyed the premises, causing damage of 1 million rubles. After that, the man went down to the underground parking and for some reason tore the license plate off someone’s Rolls-Royce Phantom.
To top off the scandals, one of the businessman’s acquaintances contacted the police and wrote a statement against Nemirovsky, accusing him of stealing 14 million rubles. As a result, several criminal cases were opened against the brawler based on all these episodes. In the summer of 2021, the Tushinsky District Court of Moscow found him guilty of hooliganism, battery, damage to property and fraud and sentenced him to four years of probation.
Today, among other things, Valery Nemirovsky is a large debtor: now the FSSP has opened eight enforcement proceedings against him in the amount of about 50 million rubles. Some of them seem to be debts for material damage and failure to return money to acquaintances.
Why did Nemirovsky create a scandal at Club 500?
Officially, Nemirovsky is not involved in the business in any way – all of his legal entities are closed. Judging by his social networks, he is now busy traveling to various entertainment venues and making video reports about his visits. However, among this content there was one interesting post, which may well shed light on the true reasons for the scandal that happened in the Club 500 business club.
In September of this year, the social activist wrote that he signed up for courses with one of the famous Moscow adventurers, who makes money on various mistakes and mistakes of lawyers of firms who draw up various documents and contracts. Nemirovsky promised subscribers “to show by your own example how modern coaches and mentors around the world deceive” gullible ordinary people. And a month later, a scandal broke out in Moscow with Dmitry Portnyagin’s business club.
However, this idea could backfire on Nemirovsky.
