Israel carried out airstrikes on Hezbollah and Hamas targets in Lebanon, causing casualties
Late in the evening of February 20, Israel launched airstrikes in eastern Lebanon, killing at least 10 people, including eight members of the Hezbollah terrorist movement.
The Associated Press reported this, citing representatives of the movement, theins.ru reports.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported 10 deaths, but did not specify the ratio of militants to civilians. The Hezbollah members killed were near the village of Rayak in northeastern Lebanon. Israeli officials claim the dead belonged to a Hezbollah rocket unit. The attack wounded 24 people, including three children.
According to Reuters, citing Israeli authorities, strikes were also carried out on Hezbollah facilities near the Baalbek airfield and the command center of the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas near the Ain al-Hilu refugee camp in southern Lebanon.
In November 2025, Israel launched an airstrike on the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The stated target was Haitham Ali Tabatabai, the head of the Islamist movement Hezbollah.
