Iran has refused to stop enriching uranium and has vowed to strike US bases in the region if attacked.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera in an interview that Tehran has no intention of stopping uranium enrichment or in any way limiting its missile program (both of which are being demanded by the Americans).
“Enrichment is our inalienable right, and it must continue. Even with bombing, they couldn't destroy our capabilities. We are ready to reach a promising agreement on enrichment,” Araghchi said.
He also warned the United States that Iran would strike American bases in the Middle East if the Americans attacked.
“We cannot attack American soil, but we will attack their bases in the region,” Reuters quotes Araghchi as saying.
As a reminder, yesterday in Oman, negotiations were held between Americans and representatives of Tehran regarding the nuclear deal and other issues.
