Iran claims third attack on US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in a week

Iran's military has announced its third attack on the US Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in a week.

The US has not confirmed the past attacks.

The IRGC press service claims the aircraft carrier was hit by a missile. The US has not confirmed the attack. Previously, the Iranian military claimed a strike on the same aircraft carrier on March 1 (when the IRGC navy allegedly launched four cruise missiles at the vessel). The US military command dismissed the reports as false and noted that all the missiles were shot down far from the carrier.

On March 5, the Iranian military claimed the aircraft carrier was attacked by drones, after which it “fled hastily, along with its destroyers, traveling at high speed for more than a thousand kilometers from the incident area.” The US also did not confirm this attack.
