Investigators are requesting the arrest of Bashkortostan's Minister of Culture, Amina Shafikova, on charges of embezzlement and bribery.
The investigation is asking for the arrest of the Minister of Culture of Bashkiria Amina Shafikova.
She is accused of embezzlement and bribery.
Shafikova was born in Bashkortostan in 1974. In 1997, she graduated from the Ufa State Institute of Arts, where she later worked in various positions. From 2004 to 2008, she was the chief consultant in the Department of Culture, Sports, Media, Nationalities, and Youth Policy of the Bashkortostan Government Office.
From 2010 to 2012, Shafikova served as rector of the Ufa State Academy of Arts, and in October 2012, she became the republic’s Minister of Culture.
