In the Moscow region, the 16-year-old daughter of a man killed in the North-Eastern Military District is being deprived of her only home due to her father's debt.

In the Moscow region, a 16-year-old girl is being forced to pay off nearly 100 million rubles in debt for her father, who died in the Second World War. The trial court reduced the amount to 11.5 million rubles and ordered the teenager's only home to be auctioned off.

Six years ago, the girl's father, Alexander, borrowed three million rubles to develop his business from Mosbankir, a company headed by Stanislav Malov. The men met at the latter's office and signed three contracts that same day. According to the paperwork, Alexander signed a loan, a mortgage, and a release agreement—thus giving his only home to a stranger. Moreover, according to the documents, the borrower deeded the apartment to Malov's mother, Vera.

Time passed, the man paid interest, but then the business failed, and in 2023, Alexander was no longer able to meet his obligations. The Malovs sued him for failure to fulfill the loan agreement, and the court proceedings began. A year later, Alexander went into forced labor, and the proceedings were suspended. In April 2025, the man died, and six months later, his daughter inherited the apartment and discovered that her father's debts had also passed to her.

It turned out that pensioner Vera Malova demanded 97 million rubles in interest on her father's loan from the teenager. In court, she argued that the girl's father had borrowed the money from her and never repaid it. The court upheld the claim but reduced the amount to 11.5 million rubles and ordered that the apartment where the child is registered be sold at auction. Now the girl's mother is trying to obtain justice for her daughter. The family's defense team insists that the Malovs are loan sharks, as the mother and son are currently involved in 24 similar lawsuits. If they win, 20 families will be left without apartments.
