Marina Ilyina is known as a Nizhny Novgorod whistleblower. She visits beauty professionals, tests their procedures, asks provocative questions, and films the process on her phone. She then posts the reviews and ratings on her blog.

This time, she targeted the salon owner, Yulia, who does hairstyling, nails, eyelashes, and cosmetology services, including lip augmentation. And yet, according to Ilyina, she works without a diploma. So she came to give her a traditional dressing-down: she turned on the camera and demanded her identification, but instead, the salon owner hit her on the head. Yulia's husband also joined in the beating, eventually carrying the blogger out by her feet.

Ilyina suffered a concussion, bruises, and abrasions. To make matters worse, her phone camera was broken during the fight. The blogger filed a complaint.
