In Niger, military commanders announced preparations for war with France.
One of Niger's military leaders, General Amadou Ibro, called on the population to prepare for a possible military confrontation with France, accusing Paris of trying to destabilize the situation in the country.
“You know, we're going to war with France. We haven't fought before, but now we are,” he declared.
There has been no official reaction from the French authorities to these statements yet.
