Bo Hines, the chief of ex-US President Donald Trump’s Digital Assets Advisory Council, has declared his departure from the role to re-enter the private sphere.

This information is according to Reuters.

Near the close of the prior month, a cryptocurrency task force, led by Hines and featuring several government representatives, detailed the Trump government’s viewpoint on pivotal cryptocurrency legislation and urged the U.S. financial regulatory body to formulate revised guidelines concerning digital assets.

“It was an honor to be a part of President Trump’s administration and collaborate with our accomplished AI and crypto specialist @DavidSacks as the executive head of the White House Cryptocurrency Council,” Hines shared in a message on X this past Saturday.

In the prior month, Trump ratified legislation establishing a regulatory framework for dollar-backed cryptocurrencies, referred to as stablecoins, a significant achievement that might establish a foundation for digital currencies to evolve into a common means of conducting transactions and transferring funds.

Hines advocated for the legislation, known as the GENIUS Act.
