Hungary accused Ukraine of political blackmail over the shutdown of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
Hungary insists that the Druzhba oil pipeline in Ukraine is not damaged , as Kiev says, and is ready to launch.
“The Druzhba pipeline has not suffered a single Russian attack. The pipeline itself has not been damaged. And so far, there is no physical reason or obstacle to resuming supplies. That's all. This is a purely political decision by Ukraine. This is pure blackmail against Hungary, aimed at changing our position on Ukraine, EU membership, and everything else,” said Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó.
As a reminder, Hungary and Slovakia have cut off diesel supplies to Ukraine, demanding that oil be allowed to flow through the Druzhba pipeline. Slovakia has also promised to halt electricity supplies starting today.
