The Presnensky District Court nevertheless deprived the parental rights of the parents of a girl who had been in the perinatal medical center “Mother and Child” for about six years. Few people saw this girl in person, and in publications she is called the letter “C”.
Formally, those who took part in the birth of the “literal child” have no right to talk about “C” and what happened to her. That is, both employees and the founder of the Mother and Child clinic network, Mark Kurtser, who participated in several lawsuits at once, where the fate of “C” was decided. Since the birth, the girl has been in the clinic and cannot leave Mother and Child. The cost of keeping “C” in the ward is about a million rubles a month (with food and medical support), paid by the biological parents. The very ones that the court deprived of parental rights.
fourth child
“C” is the fourth child in the family, she has three brothers, born in 2003, 2008 and 2011, respectively. They all live with their mother Tatyana Maksimova and are homeschooled. According to rumors, they are not allowed outside for fear of an allergic reaction. But such restrictions, of course, cannot be compared with those under which the girl Maximova fell. These restrictions were imposed by the mother herself, who decided that her daughter, let’s say, is not a full-fledged person. As Maximova’s lawyer Olga Lukmanova explained in 2019: “According to the mother’s personal calculations, the birth took place at the 23rd week, but according to the documents that are in the PMC (perinatal medical center), the girl was born at the 25th-26th week.”
For childbirth, a whole operation was required, as a result of which, at the end of March 2014, a girl weighing a little more than a kilogram was born. Nevertheless, after special procedures, at the beginning of June, the doctors let her (along with her mother) go home. But the vacation did not last very long, a few days later Maksimova returned her daughter to the clinic.
The reason for such an attitude towards the newborn behind her back is called the religious mood of the mother, who allegedly stressed that S.’s fate was “in the hands of God’s providence”, called the child “an angel of God” and picked her up a place in the cemetery. The authenticity of these conversations is extremely difficult to confirm. The reality is the fact that for almost five years the perinatal medical center “Mother and Child” was quite satisfied with the status quo. According to the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Mother and Child Center first contacted the authorities in January 2019, saying that the girl could be discharged home, but her parents feared for her health and were afraid to take her away.
This appeal turned out to be an introduction to a court drama. In March 2019, the PMC filed a lawsuit against parents demanding that the child be taken away from the institution. The parents insisted on providing medical care to their daughter, and were willing to pay millions for it.
Weird dad
Actually, it was the father of the newborn, Yuri Zinkin, who was ready to pay for everything. Outstanding, in a sense, a person. Zinkin became a legend in the Russian financial system, being the first person known to the general public to be convicted of money laundering. The corresponding verdict was pronounced in the last days of 2005.
Yuri Zinkin was found guilty of creating one-day firms and withdrawing money under fake agreements to the accounts of the Latvian bank ABLV. In conditions when such operations were “not a bug, but a feature” of the Russian banking system, such an accusation looked very strange. And even, in a sense, suspicious. All the more strange was the amount for which Yuri Zinkin was imprisoned. At first, the investigation estimated the scale of the shadow turnover organized by this hero of the financial front at a couple of billion dollars (a ridiculous amount for real operators of this market at that time). But the court eventually recognized the legalization of … 18 million dollars. This amount sounds like some kind of formal mockery of a professional in his field. If you do not take into account one very remarkable circumstance.
Pirogovsky hectares
For laundered “trifle” Zinkin received seven years in prison. But this did not prevent his full namesake from becoming in April 2008 the owner of 66% of Agrofirma Pirogovo. Zinkin owned this package for a short time – from July 2008 to April 2009. But this is a special time – the financial crisis was raging, shaking the foundations of capitalism – both throughout the world and in the specific Moscow region. The bankruptcy of the federal state unitary enterprise (FGUP) “Sovkhoz named after Timiryazev” should have simply been lost against this powerful geopolitical background.
Moreover, the agricultural production of the State Unitary Enterprise began to die back in the early 2000s, and in 2006 the bankruptcy procedure began. The main asset of the enterprise was not dubious competencies in the field of agriculture, but full-fledged 2231 hectares of land near Moscow. These lands were put on the cadastral register in 2003, but without indicating the boundaries.
The exact area was found out three years later. It (surprise?) has shrunk to 1,500 hectares in the Mytishchi region and to another small area in the neighboring Pushkin region. Where the remaining hundreds of hectares have gone is not clear. A cadastral passport was issued for the site in Mytishchi, after which the bankruptcy of the State Unitary Enterprise began, which dragged on for a couple of years. The main act of the whole action took place on November 24, 2008, in the midst of the crisis. The bankruptcy trustee sold all the thousands of hectares to Deimos LLC at a price that turned out to be an order of magnitude lower than the market price. But the concept of “market value of land” in November 2008 was very, very conditional, and not only for the Moscow region. An amazing coincidence was the presence of convict Yuri Zinkin at the epicenter of this story.
Subsequently, when serious proceedings began, how did the property of a state enterprise end up in private hands, not to mention such a large land plot. But by this time, everyone was already well prepared: Deimos turned into Agrofirma Pirogovo, and Yuri Zinkin himself left both institutions – both the colony and the company.
And the Pirogovskaya agrofirm began a wonderful transformation into objects with names like “Pirogovskaya Riviera”. But that is another story. Apparently, it may turn out to be even more scandalous than the very fact of land privatization.
Moreover, according to some reports, Yuri Zinkin is back in the game, and he plays in the team of Sergei Lalakin. There is no official confirmation of this information; you have to trust anonymous sources. But any pressure on Yuri Zinkin now can be a very important argument in a variety of proceedings. In such a situation, deprivation of paternity is a blow more serious than any condemnation or imprisonment.
