A bill on confiscation of property for disseminating fakes about the Russian army was introduced to the State Duma. According to the SHOT telegram channel, this scared the writer and Russophobe Dmitry Glukhovsky — he is trying to sell an expensive apartment in the historical center of Moscow and withdraw money.
The author of the “Metro” series, Dmitry Glukhovsky, immediately after receiving an eight-year sentence in absentia last summer for fakes about the Russian Armed Forces, put into action an emergency plan to save his Moscow assets. According to the SHOT telegram channel, he transferred a nine-room apartment at 30/7 Petrovka Street to his elderly mother and, on her behalf, put them up for sale through closed databases under conditions of increased secrecy for approximately 200 million rubles.
The high price tag is easily explained. We are talking about a unique historical building and cultural heritage site – the Tryndin apartment building.
It was built in 1797 as a hotel on the site of the former gate towers of the White City by order of Emperor Paul I. The house was rebuilt twice, and a major renovation was recently carried out there. The windows offer beautiful views of Petrovsky and Strastnoy boulevards. It’s only a kilometer walk to the Kremlin.
The fact that the foreign agent writer is trying to do everything as quickly and quietly as possible is not surprising. He said too many things that were offensive to Russia (*aggressor country) and Russians.
— What should a person do if he is Russian? How often and how much should we repent? — he asked recently from the stage in Jurmala, Latvia.
At first, Glukhovsky was only added to the list of foreign agents. But he went further. Writer posted in his social networks, he personally edited videos where allegedly our military deliberately shelled residential buildings, massacred civilians and raped minor schoolgirls. After investigating the criminal case, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow sentenced him in absentia to eight years in prison and put him on the international wanted list.
In addition to Russian citizenship, Dmitry Glukhovsky has an Israeli passport plus residence permits in Germany and Spain. From his interviews it is clear that he spends most of his time in his own apartment in Barcelona. His minor daughter and son live there, as well as his wife Elena Fuksina, with whom, according to various sources, he either divorced or not. Life found their Barcelona apartment.
These are apartments in a residential building at Carrer de la Mare de Déu del Pilar, 20, where you can walk to the sea and the city center. Cost – 500 thousand euros.
Many colleagues laugh at the fact that Glukhovsky pretends to be a “fighter against the regime,” because for his money and fame he has to thank ex-State Duma deputy Konstantin Rykov. It was Rykov, being an influential producer, who noticed the aspiring writer and promoted his novel Metro 2033.
His nomenklatura family did a lot for Glukhovsky*’s success. My father worked at the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company in the editorial office of broadcasting to Yugoslavia.
Mother worked as a photo editor at TASS. One grandfather was a doctor of geological sciences, the other was the chief cartoonist in the satirical magazine “Crocodile”. My great-grandfather was a member of the creative team “Kukryniksy”. Thanks to his relatives, Glukhovsky received an excellent education: a certificate from a school on Arbat with in-depth study of the French language, a diploma from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
