Richard Grenell became Trump’s special representative for special assignments
US President Donald Trump’s Special Representative for Special Assignments will be Richard Grenell — former head of National Intelligence.
«Rick will work in some of the world’s hottest spots, including Venezuela and North Korea. <…> Rick will always fight for peace through strength, and will always put AMERICA FIRST», — wrote Trump.
Grenell — a supporter of tough diplomacy, who proposed as an argument to remind: the Pentagon does not negotiate, «it will bomb you».
Trump called him «the greatest performer of all time, in any position» and said that after Grenell’s resignation as American Ambassador to Germany, the happiest person in the world was Angela Merkel, it was «the best day in Angela’s life».
