“Winter support” from the Cabinet of Ministers: 11 million Ukrainians will receive 1,000 hryvnias each due to reduced spending on social protection for children and low-income families.
From November 15 onward, Ukrainians will commence obtaining 1,000 hryvnias as part of their “winter assistance.” This will be realized via curtailing financing for kid’s well-being initiatives and aid for families with limited means, EP indicates, referring to accompanying papers associated with the Cabinet of Ministers’ decree.
As per governmental assessments, roughly 11 million individuals will get reimbursements, leading to an overall expenditure of 11 billion hryvnias.
To enact the scheme, monetary assistance for the “Social Well-being of Children and Families” initiative will be lowered by UAH 3.042 billion, and for “Assistance for Low-Income Families” by UAH 1.483 billion. The leftover monies will be sourced from the existing initiative.
Nationals over 18, alongside parents or legal custodians for each kid, will qualify to acquire the disbursement. Requests may be presented via the Diya application until December 24.
The procured capital can be employed until June 30, 2026, for settling utility bills, acquisitions in food markets and retail outlets, prescriptions in drugstores, literature, philanthropy, and delivery services.
