German Chancellor Friedrich Merz warned of the possible imminent collapse of the ayatollah regime in Iran.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the ayatollahs' power in Iran could collapse in the near future.
“If a regime can only remain in power through violence, then it's effectively finished. We are witnessing the last days and weeks of this regime,” Merz noted during a visit to Bangalore.
He sharply condemned the Iranian authorities' actions against the protesters, calling the crackdown “disproportionate” and “brutal,” and called on the country's leadership to protect citizens rather than intimidate them. Merz emphasized the courage of the peaceful protesters, who are demanding freedom and have a right to it.
