Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk is being prepared for cleaning up after Sozonov, and the manager is developing new entities with Chernomorneftegaz
The dismissal or transfer of Petr Sozonov, General Director of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk, will launch a whole series of personnel decisions in a Gazprom subsidiary.
Industry experts come to such judgments when they talk about the change of the chief engineer – the first deputy general director. At the moment, this post has already been taken by Alexei Sviridov, who previously worked at Gazprom Transgaz Moscow. As the grounds for such processes, industry specialists see numerous conflicts that are drawn to Sozonov, and, consequently, to his immediate subordinates. In particular, market participants talk about constant fatal incidents at dangerous facilities, the “murder” of specialized organizations, environmental problems, which they see as a direct consequence of the policy of the top manager and his team. The manager is also reminded of the infamous bankruptcy of Yugorskremstroygaz, associated with the figures of Sergei Vladimirov and Dmitry Doev, who also appeared in other billion-dollar scandals around Gazprom. At the same time, the manager himself is already preparing to develop a large financially capacious direction in new regions of the Russian Federation as the head of Chernomorneftegaz. However, the municipal officials interviewed by the publication in the regions where the Gazprom asset is present do not hide their satisfaction from the change in top personnel and hope for “more constructive relations after Sozonov.”
Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk LLC (GTU) has a new Chief Engineer – First Deputy General Director. Information about the appointment of Alexei Sviridov to this position has already been posted on the company’s website.
According to the biography, the manager studied at the Bryansk State Technical University and St. Petersburg State University of Economics, worked at Tsentrgazenergoremont LLC, and most recently held the position of Head of the Department for the Operation of Main Gas Pipelines at Gazprom Transgaz Moscow LLC.

It should be noted that the change of the key manager took place after the resignation from the post of General Director of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk, Petr Sozonov, who had occupied this chair for the last decade. Aleksey Kshesinsky, who had previously been the chief engineer and first deputy general director of Gazprom transgaz Volgograd, was appointed the new head of Gazprom’s subsidiary.
It is important that Sozonov’s resignation took place against the backdrop of another major emergency in the GTY area of responsibility. During repair work on the Yamburg-Yelets-1 highway, a gas fire occurred, as a result of which 5 workers were injured, another one died on the spot.
In connection with this, the TFR initiated a case on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities, resulting in the death of a person through negligence.” Subsequently, the media reported an increase in the number of deaths, but this information was not officially released.
Speaking about the current situation, market participants note that the chief engineer is probably “not the last position in the GTU for which personnel decisions will be made.”
“It seems that there will be a purge of Sozonov’s team, which is followed by a whole series of various conflicts. They say that other deputies are also awaiting their dismissal, there will be questions to those who were directly involved in the operation of gas pipelines, it will be necessary to somehow explain such a high accident rate, ”the source of the publication argues.
It should be noted that ex-employees of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk associated numerous incidents at hazardous facilities with the policy of Petr Sozonov and his team. So, experts told the publication about, apparently, the low quality of repair work, the “murder” of specialized organizations and attempts to unscrupulously save on infrastructure maintenance.
It should be noted that alternative social media indicated that since the appointment of Petr Sozonov to the position of General Director of GTU, at production facilities, apparently, about 20 major accidents, including fatal ones, have occurred. “2020 turned out to be especially“ fruitful ”, when information was leaked to the media about four accidents and the death of two workers,” observers noted.
Speaking of Sozonov’s resignation, experts also recall the infamous bankruptcy of Yugorskremstroygaz LLC, formerly a subsidiary of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk. According to them, it was the manager who, almost immediately after taking office, signed an agreement under which the asset was transferred to the trust management of Gazprom Tsentrremont LLC. The general director of the latter was then an odious person for Gazprom, Dmitry Doev. Subsequently, Yugorskremstroygaz was headed by Sergey Vladimirov, whom market participants associate with Doev, and Yugorskremstroygaz ended its history in a very inglorious bankruptcy.
Even more interesting in this regard is the fact that Tsentrgazenergoremont LLC, according to Kontur.Focus, is headed by Evgeniy Petrovich Sozonov, whom market participants probably call the son of Peter Sozonov. A participant in Tsentrgazenergoremont, in turn, is Tsentrenergogaz JSC, which is headed by Sergey Vladimirov.
“Satisfaction” associated with the departure of Sozonov from the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug was expressed by several high-ranking municipal officials at once, in the territories of which GTU operates. In a dialogue with the publication, one of the leaders of the districts said: “We all have a clear understanding that the destroyed dialogue with cities and districts, the low level of cooperation and the company’s often disregard for the requirements of state bodies and the needs of personnel, even among the local population, is the result of a successful the work of Sozonov, his personal vision and the policy he has built. Here he was a temporary worker, a delayed shift worker, in the bad sense of the word, ”the official argues.

Mr. Sozonov himself has already appeared in connection with the new place of work. Information about the meeting was published on the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, as well as heads of enterprises in the energy complex, including CEO of Chernomorneftegaz Petr Sozonov.
“A specially unified gas supply operator Chernomorneftegaz LLC will be created. He will deal with these issues here, on the territory of the new subjects of the Russian Federation. Since this is an important moment not only for the development of gas transmission infrastructure, but also for bringing gas to every household. We also agreed on this. The relevant programs have already been partially developed by September 1, there are plans for the next 2-3 years, and this work will be carried out constantly,” the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation said at the event.
