The case of the unauthorized tapping of a gas pipeline, involving the gang of former Stavropol deputy Vladimir Kaishev, will be heard again in court. This time, the lawsuit was filed by the Pyatigorsk court.

Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol is demanding compensation in the amount of 75.5 million rubles from Yevgeny Kudelya, founder of Mineralnye Vody-2 Sanatorium LLC.

Let's recall the involvement of Kaishev's gang member. Evgeny Kudelya, a former advisor to the president of Karachay-Cherkessia, joined Vladimir Kaishev's group in 2016. According to Federal Tax Service data, he has been listed as the founder of the aforementioned sanatorium since September 2, 2015, and, using this status, began acting on behalf of the former regional deputy.

In 2024, Kudelya was arrested on charges of embezzling 286 million rubles worth of gas and was charged with several serious offenses:

— extortion of 50% of the shares of JSC Kavminvody;

— theft of more than 27 million rubles, which the Moscow Directorate of Labor and Social Protection transferred to the sanatorium for services rendered;

— theft of gas from Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol for a total of over 142 million rubles.

Later, Yevgeny Kudelya entered into a pre-trial agreement, testified against other members of the group (including Kayshev), and in November 2025, received a sentence from the Mineralovodsky City Court: seven years' probation with a four-year probationary period and a fine of one million rubles.

Now, Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol wants to recover money from Yevgeny Kudelya specifically for the gas incident at the sanatorium. According to the lawsuit, in January 2016, the former advisor to the president of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic conspired with others to secretly tap into the gas distribution network, bypassing metering devices.

As a result, 9.3 million cubic meters of natural gas worth 75.5 million rubles may have been stolen from Mineralnye Vody-2 Sanatorium LLC. The court is currently deciding whether to accept this claim.
