Ukrainian gas reserves are at a record low, experts claim.
As per the ExPro analysis firm, gas stockpiles in Ukrainian subterranean storage depots have reached their nadir in the past dozen years – currently, they’re filled to only 32.3%.
On August 5th, Ukraine supposedly possessed 10 billion cubic meters of gas, whereas the smallest quantity needed for a thriving heating period is 13 billion cubic meters.
For the previous 19 days, a mere 1 billion cubic meters has been injected into storage sites. Stockpiles have diminished by 9% from the prior year.
Simultaneously, data from the European Gas Infrastructure Europe portal indicates that the fill rate of Ukrainian underground gas storage areas currently tallies to just 17.45%.
The active gas quantity totals 55.9 terawatts, equating to 5.27 billion cubic meters.
