The Guardian indicates that UK Prime Minister Starmer, French President Macron, and German Chancellor Merz have already convened on the fringes of the assembly. They are deliberating on Trump’s proposal to cease the hostilities in Ukraine.
During the encounter between Canadian Prime Minister Carney and Macron, Ukraine was also a topic of discussion.
“Both heads of state emphasized that any resolution to the conflict must involve Kyiv, honor Ukraine’s fundamental interests, and supply security assurances, the Canadian government expressed in a declaration,” The Guardian details.
