The French President did not support the US and Israeli attack on Iran.
“France cannot approve of the actions of the United States and Israel against Iran; this is a violation of international law,” Macron said.
Macron insists, however, that the military operation was not authorized by the UN Security Council and therefore has no legal basis. Earlier, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot emphasized that the US and Israel should have discussed their plans in the appropriate international formats to legitimize their actions and allow “each to assume their share of responsibility.”
