Former Vologda Oblast Deputy Governor Dmitry Rodionov has been arrested in absentia on fraud charges.
The Petrozavodsk City Court has arrested Dmitry Rodionov, the former deputy governor of the Vologda region and former minister of economic development, in absentia.
According to the court, he is absconding from the investigation. A preventive measure has been imposed in the form of pretrial detention in absentia.
Rodionov previously served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Karelian government. According to local media, he is accused of fraud.
In October 2025, Vologda Oblast Governor Georgy Filimonov announced his resignation following his resignation of his own free will.
