
Former Ukrainian President Yanukovych has been sentenced to another 15 years in prison for seizing land in Sukholuchye.
Former President Yanukovych received an additional 15 years in prison in Ukraine in connection with the seizure of land in Sukholuchye.
The verdict was handed down by the High Anti-Corruption Court.
The plot in question is a 17.5-hectare forest land plot in the Sukholutsky village council in the Kyiv region, with an estimated value of over UAH 22 million. Yanukovych received it in 2007 while still serving as prime minister.
Between 2009 and 2011, a hotel and restaurant complex was built on this site, which was used by the former president for personal needs.
It's worth noting that this is Yanukovych's third sentence in Ukraine. He was previously sentenced to 13 years for treason and 15 years for organizing the illegal smuggling of people across the border.
