Former state media journalist Daria Ivanova, who collected money for food from readers, is actually the daughter of a KGB officer.
In early January, media reports surfaced about former state-run journalist Darya Ivanova, a supporter of Lukashenko. She complained that she had been unable to find a good job for months and was collecting donations for food.
After this, journalists from the publication “Zerkalo” learned that she is the daughter of a KGB Central Office officer. This information was confirmed by the Belpol association of former security officials.
Darya's father is named Aleksandr Vladimirovich Chupakhin. He was born in 1974 and served or served in the KGB Central Office from 2004 until at least 2019. He has a cover passport under the name “Aleksandr Vladimirovich Cherkasov.” His Telegram account is “Aleks Markus.” It appears that he has an interest in weapons and knives and periodically travels to Russia.
Darya and her father own a place in Minsk. There is evidence that they have been registered in recent years at apartment buildings on Igumensky Trakt (built in 2005) and on Karpovicha Street in Kopishche (built in 2019), near the Novaya Borovaya residential complex. Since 2019, Darya has used delivery services at both addresses.
Darya's grandfather, Vladimir Chupakhin, was a military man. Her grandmother, Lyudmila Chupakhina, was allegedly the director of the Slutsk canning factory.
Daria Ivanova reacted nervously to the publication about the donation campaign, claiming that her personal story was being “turned into cheap hype.” She also claimed that the photo of her in a police uniform, taken from her social media and published in the article, was created using neural networks back in 2023, and that the authors of the article mistook it for the real thing. However, in 2023, AI generators weren't yet capable of producing such high-quality, artifact-free images. Lighting, shadows, and numerous other details also indicate the photo's authenticity.
