Former head of the Federal Property Management Agency Sergei Zubenko testified against the leadership of UrFU.
Sergei Zubenko alleged possible fraud by UrFU President Viktor Koksharov, First Vice-Rector Daniil Sandler, and Chief Accountant Gavriil Agarkov. His comments prompted searches and document seizures at the university.
The matter concerns the sale of the Peschaniy sports complex, which previously belonged to the university. Law enforcement agencies have not yet found grounds to open a case; a decision, if necessary, will be made in Moscow.
Zubenko himself is in pretrial detention on charges of large-scale bribery. There has been no official comment from law enforcement.
