Tehran airport after the Israeli-American strikes. Witnesses reported several large fires, including in the area of Mehrabad Airport.
Mehrabad International Airport is considered one of the oldest and most historically significant airports in Iran. Until the early 2000s, it was the country's main international air hub, handling the majority of international flights. However, as passenger traffic increased, authorities decided to build a new airport. Since 2004, a significant portion of international flights have been transferred to Imam Khomeini International Airport, located approximately 30-40 kilometers south of Tehran.
At the same time, Iran is launching strikes on Israeli territory. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported a new wave of attacks as part of Operation Promise of Truth 4.
