Following attacks on Iranian energy facilities, oil and European gas prices have risen.
Oil and European natural gas prices rose immediately after Iran announced damage to its energy facilities on the Persian Gulf coast, Bloomberg reports.
These are the largest strikes on an industry critical to Tehran since the war began.
The price of Brent crude oil rose 2.7% to $105.87 per barrel, while the price of European natural gas rose 1.8%.
Iranian state television reported that several targets were attacked, including the South Pars gas field, a source of supplies to Turkey, an oil refinery and an unspecified petrochemical facility near the city of Asaluyeh.
