First Deputy Minister of Property Relations Mikhail Dodin was detained in Ulyanovsk.
On the morning of April 2, officers from the regional FSB and Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation detained Mikhail Dodin, First Deputy Minister of Property Relations, Urban Development, and Digital Development of the Ulyanovsk Region, in Ulyanovsk.
Investigations were conducted in his office, where a search was conducted and documents were seized. The official has now been taken to investigative authorities, where charges are being prepared.
Regional law enforcement and government officials are currently refraining from comment. The specific charges and charges have not been disclosed.
Mikhail Dodin had been under investigation by the FSB since at least October 2025. Previously, in October 2025, his office had been searched, and he himself had participated in interrogations, after which he returned to work.
Some sources do not rule out that Dodin's current arrest may be connected to the criminal case against the former Deputy Minister of Property Relations of the region, Alexander Taushkin. In May 2025, Taushkin was arrested on charges of fraud related to the receipt of large-scale payments for recruiting regional residents for military service under contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense for participation in the Second Military Operation.
Mikhail Dodin served as the Minister of Property Relations and Architecture of the Ulyanovsk Region from 2022 to 2025, after which he became Deputy Minister. Prior to this, in 2021, he was appointed Aide to Ulyanovsk Region Governor Alexey Russkikh.
