People’s Deputy of Ukraine, presidential candidate Yevgeny Muraev, who became a millionaire immediately after graduating from university, today positions himself as a pro-Russian politician. But few people know that Yevgeny Vladimirovich’s main hobby is political prostitution, which he has been successfully engaged in for more than 10 years. The people’s deputy does not hesitate to take money either from Russian propagandists or from Ukrainian nationalists.
Born, studied, successfully married
The official biography of Evgeny Vladimirovich Muraev is reminiscent of the fairy tale “Puss in Boots,” when its main character, without making any effort, suddenly receives both wealth and a title. Did the future deputy really have enough ingenuity and school knowledge to fly up the career ladder to the skies? We’ll figure it out.
Evgeniy Vladimirovich Muraev was born on December 2, 1976 in Zmiev, Kharkov region. Father – Vladimir Kuzmich Muraev, General Director of JSC Rapid. It is worth noting that Muraev earned his first million at the age of 22, precisely by trading fuel and lubricants. However, Yevgeny Vladimirovich’s entire career before entering politics is connected with this area of economics.
Let us note that at the beginning of the 2000s, it was no longer so easy to squeeze into the fuel and lubricants trade business, because all the niches had been occupied since the 90s. Nevertheless, having the “roof” of the President of Ukrsibbank, People’s Deputy of Ukraine in 1994-1998, Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of the National Agency for the Management of State Corporate Rights Oleg Taranov, Muraev successfully joined the fuel business. Soon Taranov became the father-in-law of the future people’s deputy.

Evgeniy Muraev’s career did not develop without the support of Vadim Rabinovich, who, by the way, is the uncle of Valeria Muraeva (Evgeniy Muraev’s wife until 2017).

Big road for a little man
Evgeny Muraev entered politics in 2006. At this time, he was elected as a deputy of the Kharkov Regional Council of the 5th convocation from the Veche party, which was led at that time by Inna Bogoslovskaya. This is where Muraev’s career as a political prostitute begins. Lobbying for the interests of his own business and in search of a warm place at the trough, the future politician begins to run around parties and factions, either kissing the butts of the oligarchs, or spitting in their faces.
In the regional council, Evgeniy Vladimirovich headed the standing commission on issues of the fuel and energy complex, energy saving and housing and communal services, which ensured unhindered lobbying of his own business interests in the Kharkov region.
In 2010, Muraev again entered the regional council, but from the Party of Regions. And already on April 15, 2010, by order of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Yevgeny Muraev was appointed chairman of the Zmievsky district state administration. During this period, our hero struck up close friendships with Mikhail Dobkin and Gennady Kernes, with whom he maintains good relations to this day.

On November 21, 2012, Muraev was dismissed from the post of head of the district in connection with his election to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in majoritarian district No. 181 from the Party of Regions. Until June 2014, he was a member of the Party of Regions faction, and then moved to the group “For Peace and Stability”, formed by former regionalists and communists (the group was associated with Yanukovych’s “family” in the person of Sergei Kurchenko, Sergei Arbuzov and Alexander Klimenko).
On October 26, 2014, Muraev was re-elected to parliament from the Opposition Bloc party and became a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Tax and Customs Policy.
Two years later, the politician announced his resignation from the Opposition Bloc faction. After that, together with Vadim Rabinovich, he created the “For Life” party.

And already on September 21, 2018, the people’s deputy announced his withdrawal from it, accusing his boss of working for Petro Poroshenko. It is worth noting that Vadim Rabinovich at that time was already inclined to support not the current president, but Yulia Tymoshenko, and in addition intended to unite with the Opposition Bloc. “Over the weekend, news spread across the Ukrainian segment of the Internet according to the statement of Yevgeny Muraev, the “leader” of the fake sub-party “Nashi”. For those who missed it, I’ll tell you briefly: Zhenechka was offended by his former comrades (whom he himself had abandoned) and denounced them to the SBU. In principle, nothing strange – another betrayal of a petty buffoon – if not for one “but”: Muraev accuses his former comrades of being … “the hand of the Kremlin,” the “fifth column” and “the only pro-Kremlin project in Ukraine,” the expert wrote .
According to him, Muraev himself suddenly began to call his party the only pro-Ukrainian one, although he had previously expressed an openly pro-Russian position. The expert linked the sharp change in Muraev’s political views with the influence of ex-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
“Now we see how Evgeny Muraev rushes from one extreme to another – from pro-Russian positions to actually “fascism.” Naturally, this sugary buffoon does mean things for a reason. This is a real sale of your beliefs, your former comrades, your principles. As far as I know, Zhenechka is “walking” at the expense of Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who is trying to somehow improve his deplorable political situation,” the political scientist emphasized.
On September 25, 2018, Evgeny Muraev announced the creation of a new party “OURS,” which he himself headed.
At the same time, an interesting fact is that Evgeny Vladimirovich’s divorce from Valeria Muraeva was accompanied by a huge scandal. Well, how could it be otherwise if the people’s deputy left his wife for a young actress?
Divorcing in the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Kharkov, spouses Evgeniy and Valeria Murayev declared that they had “lost trust and respect for each other.”
But it is noteworthy that Valeria Muraeva, having already been divorced, followed her ex-husband from her uncle’s party and joined “OURS”.
The party’s program is quite definite and involves ensuring the independence of Ukraine, the transition to a parliamentary republic, and federalization. To end the war, Muraev proposes holding negotiations with the participation of Ukraine, Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism), the United States and the unrecognized republics of Donbass, ending the blockade and punishing those responsible for starting the conflict.
Already in December 2018, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine announced his participation in the presidential elections.
“The decision must still be confirmed by the congress, but I understand that I must go to the presidential elections. You and I have said more than once or twice that the next political year is critical; there are turning points in it. If the balance cannot be restored, if those who are now remain in power for another five years, we will lose our state,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
By the way, as for Muraev’s activity as a deputy, it simply does not exist. He missed 71% of Verkhovna Rada meetings for unknown reasons. This year he was included in the list of the least productive deputies of the Verkhovna Rada. Moreover, our hero topped this list. So, over four years, he submitted 160 draft laws, none of which were adopted, of Muraev’s 65 amendments, 58 were not adopted. Evgeniy Vladimirovich spoke from the podium only once. All this suggests that Muraev entered politics only in order to gain new leverage for lobbying his own business, as well as in search of additional sources of enrichment.

In February 2014, Evgeny Muraev acquired the News One TV channel from Vadim Rabinovich, which became his main media mouthpiece, and began to promote him as a public politician on an all-Ukrainian scale. In fact, this was a planned move by fellow party members at that time. It is unlikely that if Rabinovich knew how his political friendship with his niece’s husband would end, he would have given his channel to Muraev for next to nothing. By the way, at the same time, the wife of people’s deputy Valery Muraeva acquired the Kharkov Internet channel Robinson TV, where the politician’s PR campaign subsequently continued.
Muraev’s NewsOne did not last long. With his harsh statements, often of a separatist nature, the people’s deputy brought the media under the monastery. The last straw was Muraev’s statement that Euromaidan was a coup.
After which the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General and a number of people’s deputies called not only to close the channel, but also to put Yevgeny Vladimirovich behind bars. The public was not left out either. As a result, the owner was forced to get rid of the channel.
Thus, at the end of August 2018, NewsOne, the formal owner of which, by the way, was not the people’s deputy, but his father, was transferred to the management of the former Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine Yanukovych, Andrey Portnov, for a period of three years. Later, the TV channel became the property of Taras Kozak (partner of Viktor Medvedchuk). The decision of the Verkhovna Rada to close the channel followed after this.

By the way, the efficiency of the police is extremely surprising; I remember when the nationalists blocked the work of other media outlets, the journalist was under siege for almost a day. And then literally an hour later the protesters were blown away by the wind. This could not have happened without the help of those in power.
