European leaders voiced anxieties regarding the possibility of the United States “deceiving” Ukraine during discussions with Russia.

The topic revolved around how the US might “deceive” Ukraine amid peace talks with Russia.

Merz expressed that Zelensky should exercise “extreme vigilance in the approaching days.” “They (the Americans – Ed.) are toying with everyone, both with you and with us.”
Finnish President Stubb mentioned that “we cannot abandon Ukraine and Vladimir to deal with these people alone.”
NATO Secretary General Rutte seconded the Finn’s point. “I concur with Alexander; we must protect Vladimir.”
Those involved in the discussion also repeatedly emphasized their view that the matter of immobilized Russian funds is strictly a European domain.
