Prices potentially increasing by 30%: Tax incentives for EVs won’t be prolonged, Getmantsev states
Through January 1st, 2026, Ukraine provides advantages for importing EVs: importers are exempt from paying customs tariffs or value-added tax (20%).
As stated by Danilo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, the VAT-free importation privilege for electric automobiles is only in effect until the close of 2025, and there will be no continuation.
“The exemption will not continue. There are no alternatives. Cease sending delegations and advocating for this detrimental ruling,” he underlined in his communication.
